GAL 2015 - Designer Marcela Chang

Hello everyone !

As I wrote in my last post, the Indie Design Gift-A-Long is starting tonight ! (Well, in the middle of the night for me in France, so I'll only start tomorrow)

During the GAL, I'll present you some of the amazing designer participating in the event, starting now with Marcela Chang.

Marcela Chang is a designer from Chile, and she has many beautiful patterns : hats, garments, shawls and mitts. You can find all her designs here.

I especially love her Alegria Yoke Pullover, a colorful stranded yoke pullover.

This is the first thing that I've decided to knit during this GAL. I went stash busting and already found most of the yarn I need. It's Drops Merino Extra Fine in a light grey. I just ordered a few skeins of the same yarn in blue and a pale yellow to make the yoke. I'm very exciting about this knit ! Now I just need to wait for the yarn and for the beginning of the GAL to cast on. And I still have an Irish sweater to finish before all that, so I'm off to my knitting !

Comme je l'ai écrit dans mon dernier post, le Indie Design Gift-A-Long commence ce soir ! (Enfin, au milieu de la nuit pour moi en France, alors je ne commencerai en vérité que demain)

Pendant toute la durée du GAL, je vais vous présenter plusieurs talentueux créateurs qui participent à l'évènement, en commençant dès maintenant avec Marcela Chang.

Marcela Chang est une créatrice du Chili, et elle propose de nombreux très beaux modèles : bonnets, pulls et gilets, châles et mitaines. Vous pouvez trouver tous ses modèles ici (en anglais).

J'adore particulièrement son Alegria Yoke Pullover, un pull avec un col en yoke multicolor.

C'est la première chose que j'ai décidé de tricoter pendant le GAL. Je suis allée fouiller dans mes malles de laine, et j'ai trouvé presque toute la laine dont j'ai besoin : 9 pelotes de Drops Merino Extra Fine dans un gris clair. Et je viens juste de commander plusieurs autres pelotes de la même laine en bleu et jaune pâle pour faire le col. J'ai hâte de m'y mettre ! Je dois juste attendre que ma laine arrive et que le GAL soit officiellement commencé pour démarrer. Et j'ai accessoirement un pull irlandais à finir avant tout ça, alors je vais me remettre illico à mon tricot !

N'oubliez pas de regarder tous les superbes modèles de Marcela Chang, la plupart seront en solde pendant le GAL.
